Kids and Adults Instructor

Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Alexander “Russo” Ananchenkov has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2014 under Rinaldo. His nickname “Russo”, which means “Russian” in Portuguese, is a nod to his roots and something his students know him by on and off the mats. He is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, allowing him to connect with a wide range of students and families.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida and has been coaching both kids and adults since 2016. Over the years, he’s also competed in numerous tournaments, including NAGA and IBJJF events, bringing real competition experience into his teaching.

Outside of Jiu-Jitsu, Alexander is a Physical Education teacher who’s always had a passion for sports. Growing up, he was involved in track and field, and after high school, he decided to try martial arts, choosing Jiu-Jitsu, a decision he says he’s never regretted.

As a coach, Alexander focuses on creating a positive, structured, and fun environment where students can build confidence, stay active, and enjoy the process of learning.
